The first to go back into the past, and leave the northern continent, plus feature ships.
Alot of people ripped this game big time, sure it was shorter but it wasn't as bad as people make it out to be.
I've seen worse and played worse,i enjoyed the tropical scene of the Island Nations,we get to see Ted from Suikoden I again, only 150 years before suikoden I,he reclaims the famed Souleater from a ghost ship captain.
Laslo(heroIV),was a decent hero and his True Rune the rune of punishment was decent.
This game was still fun to play,so was cruising ships around,it lacked what made the previous 3 great, but i still enjoyed it.

to me, at least it is increasing the land in suikoden. doesnt mean that in suikoden, there isnt any sea areas or ocean areas. and its good to know there are more island than we thought. I like the deserted island, cuz its in a moon shape. (the chinese wordings in my space is snow moon: the real me.) ^-^

Well, four was quite an improvement compared to 3(I don't like 3...), and the voice overs were quite a nice mix into the game...Lazlo was an okay hero, though I really hated the very short shorts. I loved the two swords though(Twin Sword fighting is my favorite style). Rune of Punishment was a fairly decent rune, but I still loved the Bright Shield more...The Soul Eater here was very cool though(even though the instant death skills were changed).

*he nods* Yeah...Well, the ship travelling did get annoying for me after a while...Sitll, the story was quite nice, and overall, it was more decent than the predecesor, Suikoden 3.

(Laughing) it never phased me at all,his Rambo style head band was ok,Laslo had pretty weak looking Knight's Armor when he was a knight though.

*he nods* the Knight's armor sucked...I like the upper part of his second outfit, but the short shorts really looked bad...I also hated the way Lazlo ran...Snowe's pirate outfit is my favorite outfit there...

How about Chiepoo's voice,it was annoying,i thought Troy and Colton were a really good bad guy combination.

Troy, I guess pretty much he got no choice, he was picked up by the Kooluk. As for Lazlo's short, I still feel they look like tights. -.- Chiepoo, if I have a choice, I will nvr nvr nvr use him to fight... he always die for me.

He did alright for me,but he never made the cut in the final parties, for the attack on El-Eal,he stayed on the ship during that time. His voice annoyed me,Nalkul sounded better as a Nay-kobold of the bunch though.

I hate the fact that you only use 4 charries for battle and I am used on using 6, but i love the ship as the style of traveling.

The one Kooluk used from Fort El-Eal to devastate Iluya island was one nasty weapon.
